Sprinkler System Issue

Is anyone else having trouble with their sprinkler system or have a yard that never seems to dry out? I haven't watered using the sprinkler since shortly after I moved in due to a possible faulty system, yet both side yards have been muddy since the end of December. Granted, we have had some rain...but this is ridiculous! I can only water by hand so I can control where the water goes. After giving it some time, I decided to water via the sprinkler for five minutes last night. I watered the zone that covers the front beds and grass, which also covers my side yard to the southeast. Nearly 14 hours later there is still water standing in my neighbor's side yard adjoining that zone and mine is very muddy. My neighbor did not water last night. I've reported it, but wonder if others are having trouble. Check out the photos of this at
