Methodist Federation for Social Action needs your BOPA (batteries, oil, paint, antifreeze) items for recycling! The collection will accept ONLY: - Batteries of all kinds - Oil of all kinds (in a closed container) - Paint of all kinds, wet or dry (in a closed container) - Antifreeze (in a closed container)Spread the word – this event is free and open to all non-commercial members of the Austin community. At the BOPA event last March 2012, we collected 225 gallons of paint, 30 gallons of oil/antifreeze, and 80 lbs of batteries. MFSA is again organizing a free recycling collection:Saturday, March 3, 2012 8:00a – 10:30a Trinity United Methodist Church 4001 Speedway The collection will accept ONLY: Batteries of all kinds Oil of all kinds (in a closed container) Paint of all kinds, wet or dry (in a closed container) Antifreeze (in a closed container) After the collection, volunteers will pack and transport these items to local recycling facilities. The event will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 4001 Speedway, from 8:00a - 10:30a. Simply drive up, provide your zip code, and volunteers will help unload your items.
