Re: Aaron Moved to Mueller, pt 6.
This whole "new urbanism - no it's not"..."discussion" (for lack of a better term) reminds me of the argument about whether Taco Bell or Baby Acapulco serves Mexican food. It's irrelevant to me. They both serve food th...

Re: Parking revisited
I just measured my favorite Big Red Truck, and it is 13 feet, 4 inches wide ish...that's an 8 ft wide body + 32" door on each side, when in "full bloom". Honestly, having been in and out of the neighborhood for months, I hav...

Re: Trash and Recycling Bins
Austin Fire station no longer stock recycling bins. You might possibly maybe find a fire station that still has a few, but I know that FS14 on Airport Bl, your friendly neighborhood fire station serving the Mueller neighborhood since 1952,...

I realize the the moderators have better things to do than lurk, waiting to approve every single post, however, does this software package have settings that allow text (only) to be posted, while requiring photos to be approved by moderator...

A Not So Minor Oversight?
That photo demonstrates why parking restrictions are going to be very important. Imagine trying to drive a fire truck or ambulance down that street.

nails v. tires
Even better than making sure your donut spare is inflated - spend the money to get rid of the donut and replace it with the correct sized wheel/tire. The donut spare is only intended to get your car from the location of the problem to the ...

fox 7
Why aren't solar panels allowed during the initial building? I would think that if a developer offered solar systems as part of the initial construction, the whole process of "solarizing" houses would be less expensive and theref...

Parking Restrictions
Food for thought: Catellus is in the business of developing real estate, which means somebody must build and sell houses. Houses require dirt on which to be built. The project is limited to something like 700 acres. Wider streets mean...

Parking Restrictions
How wide are the streets supposed to be from curb line to curb line? I have a professional preference for wider streets.
