Cell services redux - how is T-Mobile lately?
Our AT&T contract is about to expire, and the main service we're considering is T-Mobile. We like that there are no contracts and that they offer relatively hassle-free international coverage. Plus their rates seem reasonable. We're in sect...

Cell phone service
When we first installed the MicroCell, it was about 6-8 feet away from the nearest window and signal strength on our phones was inconsistent. I was told that moving the device nearer to the window would result in a stronger GPS signal and ...

Plum-like fruit in Lake Park
Can someone please identify a tree variety in our park? It's growing along one of the paths adjacent to the water and currently has clusters of red fruit. We met some people who said the fruit is edible but a bit tart. Jam, anyone?

Cell phone service
After initially refusing to provide a MicroCell, AT&T finally gave us one. Reception quality is great now...but we still aren't sure we'll continue with them when our contract runs out. We've stayed because we're grandfathered with unlimit...

Puddle name
How about the Mueller Muddle? The puddles are forming because there's a low point in the granite...so the easiest way to handle the problem is to raise / thicken the material. Perhaps slightly crowning the path or using a border will help. ...

Less-than-flattering piece on the new HEB
Bottom line for me: it's an improvement over the prior situation. I'd really like to see some wide sidewalks lined with trees on both sides, to encourage people from our community to walk there (even in the heat of summer). The parking lot...

Solar and Travis County Property Tax Protest
All fine and well...but if the desired end result is a valuation unaffected by the solar add-on, then solar shouldn't be treated as an exemption. Instead, it should be treated (and recorded) as a depreciable add-on item. The house could th...

Solar and Travis County Property Tax Protest
I don't understand why they can't value the home as if there were no solar panels on it at all. This would be a much simpler solution. After all, wasn't the original intent to avoid putting a tax burden on homeowners who install solar?
