Halloween thoughts?
We live on the wedge on Antone, and went through nearly 700 pieces of candy last year. (We ran out the first year and I had to go to the store around 7:30 PM, so we made sure to have enough last year.) There will be cars and trucks parked a...

Help! Cat scheduled to be put to sleep
Why put to sleep? There are many no-kill shelters and rescues who would take her.

Getting Solar Panels (Summer 2011)
I pointed out the wording exempting solar installations from requiring approval, too, both to Jennifer and to someone at the main office, but was told I was required to submit the request AND the check for $110.

Solar-Texas Tribune article
So, based on the passage of HB 362, which was signed into law on 6-17-11 and effective immediately as of that date, why are we still required to submit modification approval requests (and the accompanying $110) for solar panels? posted on July 22nd, 2011

We are considering adding solar panels, but would like to benefit from the experiences of others before making the decision. For example, we would like to know how much it really cost, and did all the rebates materialize in a timely way? Ho...

2011 TCAD valuations
We protested the first year and received the break, based on our purchase price. We protested last year based on comparables for sale in the neighborhood, but were denied. We have sent a letter this year, but don't hold out much hope.

Electronic damage in the storm today?
Nothing electronic here. I am curious, though - was there any hail here? We had some light hail at my work, about 4 miles to the north.
