Suzuki Grand Vitaro License 942 YJG - Abandoned?!
Wow, filing a police report is pretty extreme. Are you sure your tire didn't go flat on its own? I find it amusing that you assume the worst in people (someone flattened your tire) while getting indignant that others assumed the worst abo...

Suzuki Grand Vitaro License 942 YJG - Abandoned?!
I remember that. Who could forget? We even left notes under the windshield, to no effect. Those oil stains are still there.Ann, if you discover a secret to getting Austin to take abandoned cars seriously, do let us know!

Next Phase of Mueller - Affordability
Re-read this discussion. I never said there was a need. I don't think there is. My point was that you want to close The Gap, the only way to do it is through reduced $/sf.

Next Phase of Mueller - Affordability
I agree, Chris. Our previous house was 1,350 sf with three bedrooms and two full baths and would have worked great for a family of four. One easy way to make small homes usable for families is to eliminate formal space. There are lots of...

I suspect Chris wants to see a decline in $/sf, which is really the only way to close the gap for families. The builders will resist that tooth and nail, however, so it's not likely to happen any time soon.

coming soon...eastside pies nearby!
Hopefully the new location won't deliver the pizzas cold and stale like the current one does. We haven't been back since a genuinely atrocious experience with them some months ago.

Flooring Installer Recommendations?
Texas Floors up on Airport Road. They did our whole house. Fantastic pricing and quick, quality installation. Ask for Steve. They've done several houses at Mueller.

I'm sorry, but did you mean to say 2012, or did you mean 2011?

Post Office
Happens to us sometimes.Have some sympathy, though. Sure having 16 mailboxes all in one means the carrier only has to do 1/16 the leg work. But it's 16x as confusing! [:surprise:]

Disappointing parking ticket - too close to hydrant...
I was also not the person who called this in, but I am someone with neighbors who regularly park three cars in the street and zero cars in the garage, thereby denying the rest of us the use of spaces in front of our house much of the time.T...

flooring
We shopped flooring pretty hard a year ago before deciding on Texas Floors off Airport. I don't know if they'd be the absolute cheapest, but their prices were definitely on the low side and the quality very high. They do mostly wood but hav...

Parking issues
As I'm sure you know, this is a big can of worms you're opening. I still vote for one street parking permit per household plus an allotment of 7-day visitors permits every year.Golly, I know it's hard to clean out your garage enough to fit...

Last I heard it was Randalls. That makes sense since they're the only other full-service general grocer operating in Austin. The Hancock Center HEB is HEB's highest-volume store in their entire system. It would make sense that Randalls t...

I've been trying to turn an unconcerned eye toward the various street repairs that have been occurring around our little neighborhood lately, but this morning I had to traverse. It looks like part of the street sank 10-14" with our recen...

Awesome. I will assume these are fairly current and fairly accurate. If so, the highlighted portions are probably the least interesting aspect (other than showing us what the senior housing is likely to look like).Much more interesting (to...
