Missing Packages
by Meg Seville on February 6th, 2015

Since November we've had about 6 packages go missing when the post office said that they were delivered. All but one showed up eventually, but we are still missing two. One was supposedly delivered the end of December, but is still missing as is one that was delivered last Wednesday the 28th. Post office's response for the one missing over a month is we say we delivered it sorry!

Anyone seen packages for 4612 Berkman or have any suggestions on how to deal with the post office to get some payback for the still missing packages?

Missing Packages

Sorry you've had trouble with packages. When I never received two packages that were from companies whose items I purchased, I contacted the companies and they re shipped without cost to you. If these were packages from friends, there is no way the PO will do anything unless the packages were certified or insured. I hope you get them.

Meg,

This is from the USPS. If the local post office has not been helpful call 1-800-275-8777 to start a research issue request. I've done a few of these in the past, and sooner or later the package surfaces. Good luck! Linda K

If your mail item has not been delivered, here are some simple steps you can follow for help depending on how the item was mailed:

Using the Priority Mail Express® label ID number, you can find out if your item has been delivered online via USPS Tracking on USPS®.com or you can obtain information by calling 1-800-222-1811.

If the delivery status indicates that the item has not yet been delivered, we recommend that you contact the recipient to determine if they have received the item. If the item has not been received, you may call 1-800-ASK-USPS (1-800-275-8777) to initiate a research request.

I've had several packages go missing in that same time period. The service of our postal delivery has slipped noticeably int he past year or so. I've contacted the post office but never got a response.

Bring on the Amazon drones.
