Missing kitty. Tortise shell coloring, long haired 3 year old female, named Mau( Chinese for cat). She is more fur than cat. Most likely she will not come when called. She has recently relocated to Mueller Garden Court I. She has a cropped tail, the result of an accident. She inadvertently got out of my view and out the door. She is spayed and has microchip. Last seen Tuesday or Wed (12/28)? Desparate to find.
Hi neighbors, Our adult male orange tabby got out very late Saturday night. His name is Byron, and he also responds to Kit Cat. Would you please let us know if you see him?
Hello all, Today an orange tabby was spotted in a backyard near Camacho. These kind neighbors tried to catch him, but he was running too fast. At about ten this morning he was seen heading up Antone toward Tom Miller. We don't know if this is Byron or another orange tabby lives in that area. We're following up on every lead. So we really appreciate anything that you see or suspect might be our wayward, beloved indoor cat.
He may be hiding in bushes. We will look in that area tonight.
Please call 826-6579 with any information day or night. I truly appreciate it.
Lorene, I saw an slender orange tabby yesterday afternoon in the alley behind Zach Scott on the eastern side between Scales and Lawless. The cat ran off before I could find the name. The cat appeared to be young and without a collar.
Hi Kate, Thanks so much! Every lead helps. I teach first grade, so this is a crazy time for me. Soon, I'll be able to follow up faster. He is about three with no collar, microchipped.
Thanks again. If you see him again, let me know and thanks! Lorene
Hello neighbors, An orange tabby has been sighted several times in the area of Camacho and Tom Miller. Many thanks to the kind people who have called with information. Some signs are down - perhaps illegal to post on mailboxes? My number is 826-6579, and I appreciate all the help to determine if this tabby is our missing housecat, Byron.
I've also seen an orange cat on Cal Rodgers. He looks skinny & young. His first instinct is to run from me, even if I'm shaking a bowl of food. I'm pretty sure the first time I saw him was before Byron went missing... I may try to catch him this weekend. If it's not Byron, I can at least get him/her fixed.
I keep eyes peeled when out walking in the neighborhood. When we lost King Louie many years ago (he got out of his cat carrier and escaped from the pickup), we found him three weeks later by going out in the middle of the night. We thought that's when the animals come out to hunt and feed, so maybe he'd be out. Sure enough, we found him sitting in a driveway, like he was just waiting for us to drop by and pick him up.
Hi all, A really, really kind neighbor let us put a humane trap in her yard. The slender orange tabby (assuming it's the same one) that's been seen up in the area of Antone and Camacho/prairie took the bait last night. We brought him home, and he's upstairs in a room. We can't tell for sure if he is Byron. His face is very similar, roughed up a bit, and he is certainly skinnier. He may have a smaller body than Byron which would indicate that this cat is younger. He's really freaked out, though, and hiding behind a couch.
What would typical behavior be for a cat gone missing now home? Would he act this scared around people he knows in familiar surroundings? Certainly the trap was traumatic for him. As soon as he calms a little, we are going to take him to an animal hospital to see if he is microchipped and indeed Byron.
If anyone has any input or experience in the interim, I'd be interested.
Thanks again to everyone. What a wonderful, compassionate neighborhood.
