European neighbors

After living many years in Europe, my husband (American/Swiss) and I (Swiss) decided to move to sunny Austin. I was just wondering if they are some fellow Europeans living in the neighborhood who could give tips and tricks to a newcomer and/or want sometimes to speak French, German or Italian.

Hi Jocelyne, I moved to Texas 7 years ago. My Italian is non-existent, my French is terrible, but you may find my German passable. Maybe we can start a lecture series about the correct pronunciation of "Müller" . Cheers, Henning

I'm originally from the UK. I moved to texas about 7 years ago and seem to have settled in ( so there is definitely hope :-) )...would be happy to chat..my wife certainly speaks french -- even though she is of US decent...
Come by the wedge anytime we are usually around..or pm if you want to organize something specific..
Ezra.

Gruetzi mitanand! I'm a Texan who lived in Zuerich back in the 1970s. I learned my German there, so I speak with a Swiss accent! There are actually a good number of German speakers in the neighborhood. I work on my Italian on my occasional trips there, but could use a patient conversational pardner.
Welcome to Mueller.

Henning had a good idea, why don't we (Eurpeans, foreign languages fans and all others who would like to join us) try to meet Sunday at 9 am at the Elixer near the old hangar. Machen Sie doch Alle mit!

I'm English, have lived here 6.5 years, and can't remember a word of schoolboy German, have a smattering of French and do a terrible British accent.
That said, I'll see if we can get out on Sunday and hopefully join you!
Garreth
