We have heard that some people with our floor plan have remodeled to create a loft, or extra room that connects the open space between the stairs and the "floor" space under the window above the door. I'm not sure how to describe it, but if you have the Maggio or other plans that have this wasted space above the door I think you'll know what I'm talking about.

Anyway, we'd really love to do something like that and were wondering if there are any folks who have done something with that space who would let us come see what you've done. We'd also welcome any ideas or recommendations for this type of remodel.

Our "wish list" is to create a little open space there as a play area for the kids or a reading nook with one wall of built in book cases for extra storage.
