It has been SSSSOOOO frustrating with all of the changes. I keep having to start over again with our issues. That being said, Yolanda seems to have a grasp of the process. And as a bonus, she actually returns calls/emails and keeps you updated! What a concept!

Seems like we are finally working through the last of our issues. Hopefully M won't change gears again and go with another warranty company midstream...

I wonder how it is when your warranty is up, but the fix was not correctly fixed.

i.e.

-the light concrete fascia they use to cover the foundation keeps cracking and they keep patching.

well, that is where we are. Our year was up in December, but we have a few outstanding issues that were never fixed to our satisfaction... or just never fixed. I feel like if the process was started before your year those are still open items that should be addressed. As long as you have not signed off on them being finished. Even if you have I cannot imagine that they have kept track of that paperwork through all of these transitions!

Meritage told us that as long as we raised the issue within the year, they will fix it. I think that has to mean 'fix it so it's fixed'!

BTW, with so much talk about the one-year warranties, don't forget that some things are warrantied for longer periods - some two years and some up to 10 years. I don't remember what they are -- maybe someone else can enlighten us -- but if something breaks, be sure to ask about the warranty.
