Mueller Neighbors: The pool was closed at approx 8:00PM tonight due to fecal contamination from a diaper incident. The pool company is on its way tonight to shock it with a 12 hour treatment. The pool will be tested again in the morning, and if it passes then it will be open for the 4th of July Swim Party.

If we are unable to swim, then it will be business as usual with our 4th of July parade and we will still enjoy Cool Haus ice cream at Ella Wooten park, along with refreshment from the MNA. More details on the pool will be posted in the morning.

So...when are they going break down and fix the faulty pool design that connects the kid portion to the adult portion? I know, I know, most likely never due to cost.

I agree that smart pool design would call for separation of the baby pool from the adult pool, but it may be difficult to fix at this point.

I would like to thank Kathleen for letting us know about this. I was planning to head to the pool first thing this morning and she saved me a trip. If it would not be too much trouble, it would be great if pool closings could always be posted on citiCite. Several of us headed to the pool last Sunday morning only to find it closed. I don't have far to walk, but other come from a few blocks away.

Fecal contamination in the pool was reported tonight and as a result the pool is being closed and locked. It will be shocked tonight and open mid-day tomorrow (July 4th) depending on chemical levels and temperature. We apologize for any inconvenience this will cause.

Of all the days for this to happen...my goodness! This is QUITE the bummer!

We were out of town, but I believe the same thing happened the day before Memorial Day so it was closed for that holiday too. I smell a poopy conspiracy

lifeguards are in the area and the umbrellas are coming up right now - things are looking promising!
