Meritage 2-story home / Honeywell system
by bpkramer on January 14th, 2015

For the past week, the upstairs has been running much hotter than downstairs, though we have the thermostat at both levels set to reasonable temps. Advice, please!

We have a Honeywell system, too, and have had it worked on several times and have had to have the thermostat panels replaced. Casa Mechanical installed ours initially through Meritage and they have a warranty for some parts, so if they installed your unit, you may want to contact them. We had the same problem of the upstairs running much hotter than the programmed temperature. I learned that Honeywell no longer makes the type of system installed in our house. I have also used Air-con Solutions to do work on the unit, and are very knowledgeable (512) 516-9066.
