Anyone interested in helping out this Saturday morning??

Texas Ramp Project builds mobility for the impaired. We have built hundreds of sturdy wooden wheelchair ramps in the greater Austin area over the past three years. The demand increases, the work continues, and additional volunteers are always needed.

Our clients are homebound due to a variety of physical conditions, and a ramp means nothing less than freedom to them.

We typically build on two Saturday mornings per month, and this coming Saturday (9/12) is one of them. The Mueller Community should be a great source of volunteers, so if you’d like to pitch in (no experience necessary), please let me know, and I’ll provide details. We usually start at 8 am, and you can expect to be home at around noon.

Hi Dennis,

I can't help out this Saturday but I am interesting in helping at a future time. I am a member of a local charity called Capital City Ambucs and we help provide specialized Trykes called Amtrykes to children and adults with disabilities in the Austin area. Some of our other chapters have built ramps and we helped pay for a ramp for one of our families in the past. It is so great to know that there is a local group that provides this great service and I am sure I could get some of our members to participate in a future build. Please let me know when your next build is.

We'd love to have your help.

We build on the second and fourth Saturdays of a given month, weather permitting That makes our next build day Sept 26, followed by Oct 10, etc.

I'll issue another communitywide invitation in advance.
