Another truck parked at the park
by Kathleen Malcom on November 16th, 2010

Any time the Inspection sticker or License tag is expired it is considered to be disabled because it can not be operated, and thus is illegally parked on a public street. The Police will come and put an orange sticker on it. That is a legitimate 311 call. They won't respond to tags in good standing.

That is easy, and was answered very indirectly earlier in this thread.

Park in the Garage.

Parking is a passionate subject on this forum.

This tread started when I asked the innocent question: "Where are the 150 residents of the new David Weekly Garden Home section going to park, given that the norm at Mueller is to park one car on the street. Is there a plan for parking?" It appears that the 72-hour rule is the answer. When the parking committee came up with the new rule, did they know about the new density changes and about the new Garden Homes? It seems like all the street parking around that area will likely be saturated.

P.S. I've posted about a black Mitubishi Mirage that has not moved for 3 weeks, adjacent to Southwest Parkway, at Cal Rodgers & Tom Miller. No one has claimed it. I'll leave a note. The city will not consider it an abandoned vehicle unless it appears to be disabled in some way, I think.

Just for s_ _ts and giggles: the blue truck parked at Wooten Park has been MOVED. It is now parked facing the wrong direction in the same spot. I like that the owner has a sense of humor. Perhaps their newborn took it out for a joy ride last night!

It's a good question, whether answered indirectly or not. And it extends to the higher density Mueller Houses. Some of these condos may have a single car garage.

I'm curious what happens in the current Garden Courts which admittedly are smaller. Twelve homes is very different to forty-nine.

If there are 49 new Garden Homes all in one spot, then there's probably going to be more parking on the surrounding streets - Threadgill, Antone, Tom Miller and Hermalinda.

While the official answer might be "park in the garage", I'm sure there'll be an adjustment period as people move in. And families with three or four cars.

This morning, I noticed the truck that was parked on the McCloskey side of Ella Wooten had moved to a parking space on Mattie, so it's interesting that this thread seems to have spurred some action (not that I was trying to get anyone in trouble :)

And the guy who owns the blue truck parked on the south side of Ella Wooten moved it this morning down the street, next to the construction site for the Weekly homes. Thank you! Hopefully there are no hard feelings.

If anyone knows who owns the black Mitubishi being stored on SW Greenway at Tom Miller & Cal Rodgers for almost 1 month now, please spread the word that it would be appreciated if it is moved for the upcoming holidays.
