just read this myself & had to call Casey right away. Beautiful parks & green spaces, Dell Children's, & the Children's museum all at Mueller. How terrific is that?

That's great news for Mueller! I always thought the museum seemed out of place in the DINK-y Warehouse District. It will help the neighborhood develop into a true destination for people who don't actually live here.

The Austin Children’s Museum, which has been seeking a new home, plans to move to Mueller, the former city airport that is being turned into a new community of businesses, stores and homes.

The museum’s board of directors has voted to begin negotiations with Catellus Development Corp., the master developer for Mueller.

The museum would be in Mueller’s town center, at the heart of the 711-acre development.

“We’re excited about the possibility of building a new facility at Mueller,” said Mike Nellis, the museum’s executive director. “As a family-oriented community with a commitment to diversity, Mueller shares our values and we feel it’s an ideal location for the new museum.”

The museum is now at the corner of Second Street and Colorado, but has been planning for several years to move to bigger quarters.

Amazing!!! we should organize a response of support for the Museum here. This is another signature place that the Rail Line to Mueller would go. Great Get, now don't screw it up!

Hey, wouldn't be great if the Museum also had a bar where you could watch your kids run around and learn-play...and they could watch you drink.

Wow - that's incredible.

The childrens museum as it stands is relady really cool. I'm excited to think what they'll turn it into in Mueller.

They really need a day of the week when it's just adults. I could spend days in there =]
