New website for POA dues?
by henningspruth on August 3rd, 2014

This week I received a paper bill for my POA dues instead of the email notification.

The old account at http://www.estmt.net still works, but shows bills only until June of this year. The paper bill suggests to sign up on a different website, http://www.allianceonline.net. After registering, I can see my bill history there, but it's not clear if e.g. the direct debit information has carried over.

Did I miss the memo that this was going to happen?

Henning

Wow, $4.35 processing fee to pay by credit card, and only $2.95 if they take it directly from your bank! What a ripoff. Can't these people find honest work?

Ripoff sounds about right. Old-fashioned me sends them a personal check each month. Cost: 49 cents for the stamp.

I'm not sure about the website Henning... still trying to find out about that. But regarding the fees, those mentioned above are for both e-checks and credit cards that are third-party administered (the fees do not come to Alliance or the Association!) but are fees charged by the bank and this is passed through, just like if you pay your property taxes via credit card. There are many other free options that residents can use such as direct debit, auto bill pay or mailing a check. I have them direct debit my dues and there is no fee for that.

Thanks Betsy - for the past years, I also have been using direct debit, but according to schroed's post above they now want to charge $2.95.

I have not touched the payment settings yet, and will wait if they debit my account on the usual monthly schedule.

I emailed them to find out if the new website affected my direct debit. They said no. Direct debit is set up directly through their office and not through the website.

I also asked to stop the paper bills and they turned off that feature for me.

I called and got this information regarding fees.

There are NO fees if you:
1) Pay by check (make check out to Mueller Master Community Inc.)
2) Have your bank send a check
3) Use Direct Debit

There ARE fees if you pay through the website:
1) E-Check/ACH $2.95 per transaction
2) Credit card 3.5% of amount processed

Hope this helps!

Regarding the fees, those mentioned above are used for electronic checks and credit cards administered by third parties, But they are fees that the bank pays. as if you pay taxes on property by credit card. He has https://www.bestbritishwriter.com/essaytigers-co-uk-review/ . There are many other free options that residents can use, such as direct debit, payment of the automatic invoice or check mail. I have direct debit and there is no fee for this.
