It’s time for another Mueller block party! Some of us on Lawless Street are organizing a neighborhood block party similar to the very successful party on Emma Long.

We plan to have a potluck party in the early evening on Sunday, June 1 from 4 – 7pm (or as late as conversations roll). The summer evenings will be warm, the sun will be setting late, and the new pool will have been open for about a week. After a nice swim, stroll down the block to Lawless to sip on a margarita and sample your neighbors’ tasty treats!

We will block off the street and set up tables much like last time. Anybody have cones and tables to bring? We hope everyone will bring a wide range of savory and sweet treats and beverages like last time. Present and future residents of Mueller are welcome.

Please feel free to post any input or ideas. Mark your calendars and come join the Lawless bunch for a party!

This sounds great and I am looking forward to stopping by! I missed the Emma Long party so am hoping that a bunch of people from that neck of the woods show up too =]

Just as an update, it looks like we should be getting some free pizzas courtesy of Austin's Pizza for the block party. Woo hoo!

Just a reminder: the Lawless Street block party is this Sunday, at the southern end of Lawless near the pool. Given the heat, it will be starting at 5:00pm and going until sundown, or as long as the conversations last.

What are people bringing? I'll be mixing up a batch of margaritas and will be bringing some type of baked goods. I'll also be bringing some nametags and an iPod dock. People can bring their iPods to plug in if they want to be an "iPod DJ" for a while.

I just wanted to thank everyone for the great time at the Lawless block party. It was very rewarding getting some first hand knowledge of how the site has been helping the community over the past year and I especially enjoyed getting to meet everyone in person. I'm looking forward to many more site enhancements / developments and hope that everyone else will be too. Please be in touch any time if you have any questions or comments.

Thanks for having the party, Jill and I had a great time meeting folks. And Emmet had a good time eating food the people so kindly dropped on the ground for him. Look forward to meeting more folks at upcoming events, and swimming in the new pool!
