Hi Neighbors,
This is the week for recycling all your old t-shirts, if you'd like them to be re-purposed into fun, new products! Open Arms (www.openarmsshop.com), a new company here in Austin, is employing refugees at a living wage, providing English lessons and other enrichment programs, and giving an opportunity to women needed a safe community in which to work. So we need your t-shirts, any size, shape, torn, stained, faded, - and if we for some reason, you think we can't use them - don't worry, we'll find a way!

Please bring them to a box on my porch - 4212 Threadgill in GC2 or feel free to PM me and I'll come pick them up for you.

Thanks to the neighbors who brought some t-shirts today!! HEY, I have an idea! If you pin a note on a t-shirt with the name of the street you live on and how many you've dropped by, I will count up the t-shirts - and whichever street donates the most will get . . . compliments and honors falling on them like rain in a sunshower!!!

This Tuesday, during our National Night Out, we will have the collection box near the desserts (clever, eh?), so if you are coming by GC2, feel free to bring some old cast-offs - just t-shirts! If you don't have any, no worries, you are still welcome to the delicious desserts ;-)
