My friend, doula and childbirth educator Lanell Coultas is hosting a new mama group at her home (in Windsor Park just north of 51st) this month and next. These groups are great for supporting new moms and connecting them with others.

My kids are too old for this group but I have to recommend Lanell. She is fantastic. I was sick after Elias was born and she came into our home and took care of us body and soul.

We also have several friends who used her either as a labor and delivery or postpartum doula and all had great experiences.

I'm a postpartum doula living here in Mueller and just wanted to let folks know that I'm here. As a Postpartum doula I specialize in working with new moms and babies helping them adjust to life with an infant. My work is to help you with whatever you need, help with breast or bottle feeding, mothering the mother which means giving her a chance to rest or bathe or just sit quietly and recover, teaching about baby care such as bathing, cord care, how to soothe a crying infant, helping a new sibling adjust by giving them some undivided attention or providing time for the parents to do so. Thanks for posting, that's great to know. I have a 9 week old with GERD and am exhausted! I'd love to find out if the other new moms in Mueller want to get together some time, especially those that are still at home during the day. I'm home until Feb. and it is still sometimes very hard. I'll be in touch.

My "babies" are 4 now, but they had severe reflux until they were 9 months old. I can sympathize with what you are going through!

My first baby is due in February and I would love to get together with other new or expecting moms in Mueller.

I am also due with my first baby in January. I'd love to get to know other moms in our neighborhood.

I just had twins two weeks ago and would love to meet up with new or expecting moms in the neighborhood..ping me if you'd like to meet up for walks etc!

I'm due in January too! A new moms group sounds fun. Anyone up for a group lunch one weekend? Maybe after Thanksgiving would be good.

So fun to hear of so many expecting mom's and new ones as well! I am due the first part of April with our first so keep me posted as to when we may get together. The time is flying by!
