Maybe we could combine a number of the suggestions and plant a large claw by the tree with a sign, "Drivers not following yield signs will be snatched and deposited in the lake".

Airport Zoning Change
by Ashley on March 4th, 2010

A ways up on this thread there was discussion about the zoning change on Airport across from Mueller - here is a letter the Cherrywood neighbors have submitted to City Council about it:

Mayor and Councilmembers:

As you may know, next week the VMU and FLUM amendments for Upper Boggy Creek will be on Council Agenda.

As you will know from your back-up packets, both the Cherrywood Neighborhood Association and the Upper Boggy Creek Planning Team are in support of all of the staff recommendations and related FLUM amendments, however, we were surprised when, at Planning Commission, some folks from whom we had not heard in several years, showed up to oppose both the FLUM amendment and the VMU zoning option for 4020 Airport Blvd. This message is to communicate two things:

Cherrywood remains committed to our support of all of the FLUM Amendments and VMU designations as shown in the Legal Notice; and

We WOULD NOT OPPOSE a postponement of Action on Tract 3 (4020 Airport blvd) in order to have time to meet with those neighbors. To be clear, we are not requesting the postponement, but if the property owners or a Council member feel that a postponement would be of value, we do not oppose that, assuming that it would not slow down the process for the balance of the properties.

As many of you know we were among the first neighborhoods to request VMU in our neighborhoods several years ago, but the MLK TOD caused our request to be delayed until now.
