This happens to me all of the time and it drives me crazy. i live right off of the park and my house is on the end. On trash day, there may be a few hours my can is out and people put their dog poop in there. At least it was in bags but they seriously think it is ok for it to ferment in my trash can all week during the hot summer months. I agree, it is rude and irreopsonsible. One day, I did have my trash can in and they left little bags of poop by my garage. Thanks alot! I keep putting signs on my cans but they fall off.
Quote: This thread is hilarious! It is a TRASH can. If you do not want it used for its intended purpose, hide it from these trash criminals.
I take it you wouldn't mind if someone sneaked over to your property when you weren't looking and planted a lovely English Ivy or Juniper in the middle of your front lawn? I think that's the intended purpose of soil.
I agree, these threads are pretty funny. I literally have no idea what's in my trash can, I just open the lid and throw my rubbish in there, and then a magic beast comes on Friday and eats it all.
You're right I could ignore them or skip over them, but then I'd miss out on the epic bi-weekly trash related #firstworldproblems
I was rummaging through my trash can a day or two ago and came across two or three bags of dog dookie. I believe the deposits were made by a single culprit because the bags all had a similar, difficult to untie knot and smelled about the same.
Personally I don't mind these "gifts" because I am obsessed with dookie, but I can see how someone else might take offense.
Get it together people! If you have your dookie bagged don't throw it in the nearest trash can! People don't leave those things out in the alley for your convenience. They're out there because some people don't want to bother with moving their trash cans back and forth 3 yards every week.
Just put the dookie in the dookie boxes where it is much easier to find.
You know what would cure this problem for good? About 200 signs posted all over the hood and in the park. That will get folks to stop putting poop in other peoples trashcans for sure:)
