Stop in at the construction office - trailer between Thinkery and AMLI site. Lots of pictures. Briefly, the apartments will wrap around the garage. COrrection the blank walls on the parking garage will be for condos like Greenway Lofts

Yep - Dan's right, and there will also be a movie theater on one side of the giant town center parking garage. Most of the parking structure bits will be covered with something. Catellus tries to keep residents updated about these things at the POA Let's Talk events as well as during developer updates at PIAC meetings, which anyone is welcome to attend.

Susan,

To be clear, the north side of McBee has the parking garage for the Thinkery/Town Center. As indicated by Kathy and Dan above, it will be lined will all kinds of stuff including the theatre, mixed use housing, and apartments. However, it may not be lined immediately - Catellus has not announced anything officially on this.

The AMLI structure to the south of McBee will also be lined. The constructions here is to be slated to be complete in early 2015, so in all likelihood the garage in the middle of it will be soon covered as the apartments are built out.

We will probably have to live with the parking like fortress to the North of Mc Bee for a bit longer. They needed to have parking for the Thinkery, so it was built both for that and in anticipation of coming uses and needs.

Mueller is a work-in-progress with lots of good things coming, but we'll have to put up with inconveniences of construction and interim solutions such as the parking fortress for a while to get there.

I'm going to have to go back and check, but I think they also put development updates in the Mueller Messenger, the monthly newsletter that the POA mails out. Sometimes we also put updates in the Front Porch Flyer, and we did a HUGE story on town center in the last issue. Catellus does update their illustrative maps occasionally, and the one that the MNA has (and brings to meetings) is pretty up to date. We'll get a new one when more has been built.

Susan, there are a variety of ways we can find out about what's coming in our neighborhood. Some of those ways have already been mentioned, Mueller Messenger, Front Porch Flyer, MNA meetings, PIAC meetings, Let's Talk meetings, muelleraustinonline.com, etc.

So we don't *have* to attend meetings to find out but I want to encourage you to. Some of us have worked very hard to make these meetings happen. I, for one, appreciate the opportunity to meet face-to-face with the folks responsible for developing my neighborhood... to ask questions and give feedback - solicited or otherwise - about what is important to me to have in my neighborhood and what life is like living here while all the developing is going on.

The developer's job would be much easier if they just had to send out quarterly updates to us. That is NOT all I want from them. That's about all we had in the beginning and it was not very satisfying.

So I encourage you to attend the next POA Let's Talk on Wednesday, Feb 5 at 6 pm at Mueller Central. The topic is about our trees and who will take care of them, individual homeowners or the POA. Other topics will come up if time permits.
