Recommendation for someone who gives great haircuts?
by Cynthia on April 20th, 2011

The hair stylist I go to only works a couple of days a week, so I'd like to find someone else I can go to at least part of the time. Any recommendations for someone who can make a 50+ woman look presentable?

I go to Camille and have been for many years at Waterstone Aesthetic. She does a great job and is there really regularly. It's not too terribly far from here either. Here's their web-site http://waterstonesalonandspa.com/salon/salon-staff/

Love Pam at Crestview Barber Shop.

Great little shop. Barbers in the front of the shop and Pam and Diane cut women's hair in the back. Great prices too.

Shannon Levine @ Kemestry Salon (on E. 6th). Its close, a cool shop, and Shannon has weekday and weekend availability! And, of course, she is amazing!

Recommendation for kids haircuts?
by Heidi M on September 7th, 2011

My son is 18 months old and in dire need of his first haircut. Anyone know of a kid friendly salon or hair stylist? He doesn't like people, especially strangers, touching him so its going to be rough :/

We go to KidClips over at 360 and 2222. They have little cars and ponies instead of chairs, a play area and Miss Suzy who has an iron grip. Even if your child cries she will get the job done. I think I had to hold Eli in my arms for his first couple of cuts. It's $15 bucks and you can go on the playground at her little restaurant or at Waterloo's afterwards.

Warning. You will have to specify if you want him to have a little boy haircut otherwise she tends to cut off the hair in front of the ears. The only flaw in an otherwise pretty good set up.
