If you receive HDTV over the air could you please be so kind as to tell me which indoor antenna you use and how your experience has been? Thanks.

most local channels come in quite well with just plain old bunny ears ($5-10 at radio shack).

We have an hdtv antenna that we don't use/need if you want to try them out. If the work for you, I'd sell them for cheap since they are just collecting dust at our house.

Our picture for HDTV for the national network channels was better using rabbit ears thank with AT&T U-Verse. Their technician tried and tried to make it more clear and we tried to make sure the TV was calibrated correctly as well. In the end, she admitted that she switches to rabbit ears if she is watching something important on the networks as the picture is better.

The picture was absolutely perfect with our rabbit ears except for one of the networks (normally ch. 42 I think) which had a crystal clear picture but one which dropped in and out.

Just our experience. Your mileage may vary.

On my Tivo, I use $10 rabbit ears for the HDTV network channels because for some reason, TWC stopped releasing the equivalent cable channel numbers to Tivo, I think to make you rent a cablecard.

You may need to initially experiment with the best placement of the antenna, but overall they work fine.

I just put a piece of coax wire (not even an antenna) and I get all of the local broadcasts. Sometimes I have to loop the cable or add some aluminum foil and do some jiggling to get Ch 7.1 & Ch 54.1, but all the rest come clean and clear all the time.

On a side note I have a DVR / PVR for OTA HDTV ATSC Broadcasts with no monthly subscription service or plan. Has dual tuners so I can record and watch at the same time. Search for DTVPal DVR online. I think Sears or KMart should have them still.

http://cut-the-cable.com/enjoy-the-convenience-of-a-dvr-without-cable has some details

I think Channel Master has a rebadged version called CM7000PAL

Our antenna's reception for over the air (OTA) broadcast just went away last night. First I thought it was the weather now I cannot get the broadcast signal on any of our devices. Does anyone else who is using broadcast television having the same issue?
