Dittos, Grace. I like the idea of neighbors creating the community rather than asking someone else to provide the neighborhood cafes/pubs/shops we all want. And I'm just not wealthy enough to fund the dream on my own.

I have two dogs but use only kennels with dedicated and private outdoor exercise areas at times when I travel. I would guess that apartment dwellers may have a need for the doggy day care. And I wonder if the day care will be paying a usage fee or something along that line if use of the parks is part of their business plan. If so it seems to me that it would be appropriate for the doggy day care to participate in the maintenance fees for the parks with the homeowners in our neighborhood. They should adhere to park rules of course.

Personally I would prefer a cafe of some sort that serves food and drink in this location instead of the doggy day care. This use seems incongruous to me. We need places to refresh ourselves within walking and biking distance.

I live at Mosaic and I would LOVE a coffee shop and a bar. I have a dog, but absolutely no use for doggy day care, which I think is kind of silly anyway. I know people who can't afford daycare for actual humans. Coop away neighbors, I will drink your beer.

Received a call form Mac who had the follwing info to share:
- There was room for one (large?) tenant and that went to the dog business.
- No room for anything additional except an office
- Dog business is as follows:
- 1-2 hours, no overnight
- All indoor
- Training and obstacle course
- No plans to take dogs to park
- Will announce business name, further details when contract allows

This may be good news after all. A sold-out Mosaic retail will create more demand for additional retail construction elsewhere. Where there is demand, there is progress.
