This has been a chronic problem at Mueller. I encourage you to report it to the Post Office as we have done in the past. This is gettting out of hand.

It happens often to me too and I've reported it. It seems to get better and then worse, in waves. Fortunately, I usually get a specific neighbor's mail and she gets mine so we just deliver to each other. It's actually how we met and now we're good friends. Once though, a package went to a third neighbor. Again fortunately, that neighbor also delivered it to my door.

Has anyone had any recent experience with mis-delivered mail? We took our little one to Dell ER over the summer and I found out today that there was an outstanding balance due.

Seton claims to have mailed seven notices to our address on 42xx Mattie, I'm the only one who checks the box and none of them were delivered. Something that systematic (that's the only known non-delivered mail I'm aware of) leads me to think there's an actual glitch somewhere.

Either way, would be nice to not have to worry about stuff like this!

I got another piece of misdelivered mail today (a magazine). In my case, the house number is usually right but the street is wrong...sometimes it's only one street off, and sometimes it's several streets off. I suggest you call and complain to the Post Office. I've done that, and I got a fairly prompt call back. Not that it permanently solved the problem, but it got better for a couple months.

I sent them a letter today (hey, I still like the USPS...44 cents to get something across the country is still impressive). Not expecting any mountains moved, but interested to see if there's any possible reason given as to why.

In my experience misdirected mail is both very infrequent and mostly random (right number but wrong street or vice versa). So infrequent that, to have even two letters from one particular address to another particular address get misdirected would be a statistical anomaly. To have seven, well, I'd say fire up the improbability drive, cause you're going to the restaurant at the end of the universe! That, or you're going to turn into a bowl of petunias.

Much more likely explanations:
-they have your address wrong,
-they did not send you seven notices, or
-you did something to get on the mail carrier's bad side

In all honesty, I think Seton has the problem. They confirmed the right address, though.

The only reason I have doubt that it may be the post office is we're still within the one-year forwarding window from the previous owner. Since I've never seen how Seton envelopes mail, I don't know if there's anything at all on there that the USPS automated machines might pick up as the former owner's name and forwarded them on.

At the end of the day, doesn't really matter. Matter resolved before it was credit-reported, no reason to get future materials from Seton (for the time being!). Just want to whine a bit!
