My kitchen disposal just broke and of course I am two weeks out of my one year warranty. Can you recommend a reasonable priced handyperson to look and install. Would that be a plumber or electrician or just handyperson? Melissa. Send names my way... thanks.

I would contact your builder -- I would be surprised if they wont service it anyway....

Are you sure it is broken and not just jammed? I would be happy to come take a quick look as if it is jammed it is a 5-minute fix. PM me.

Our built in microwave (Whirlpool brand) just died on our $300,000 Meritage house. I was making popcorn and the noise level went up but the corn did not pop. We tried heating water. Stone cold. Tried diffferent power setting- 50%, 90%, defrost- NADA. Think its the magnatron. We checked the microwave warranty and it says 1 year on parts and labor. We've been in the house 18 months now.

Anyone else had to replace their microwave? Any suggestions? Will Meritage help?
