David Weekley affordable housing

Curious what the experiences are of other "affordable housing people" as one the other posters here called us.

I can't add much. Got a really bad lottery number and precious little info from David Weekley. Requested to know where they are number wise, what the restrictive covenant details are, etc. No response.

I just got this email today:

Quote:
Greetings Pioneers,

GREAT NEWS! The Shared Equity agreement has been finalized and I was given the green light by my boss to start writing contracts this week! I will contact the first 8 pioneers on my Yard list and first 7 pioneers on my Row list this week to set appointments to write contracts.

Once I start selling homes I will let you know how many homes are still available and where I am on the Pioneer list!

More info to follow.

Thanks, I got that soon after I posted too. Still haven't seen what the Shared Equity agreement actually says, though. And shouldn't that have been settled *before* the pioneer process started, not after sales were already supposed to have started?

I got a pretty decent number, but I have yet to hear from David Weekly on anything other then my prioneer number. I recently sent them an email with a few questions and have yet to hear back from them - has anyone else had this problem? It also makes me a little nervous that I did not recieve that email that Kerry posted from Mindy Yarbrough.

I've requested a copy of the equity agreement and had no response, but a few weeks ago I contacted them and they responded promptly. I don't know, maybe since they are selling the market homes now they are really slow...

Any ideas on when they intend to have the homes completed? I keep hearing early 2008, but that could mean many things.

Hmm. Well, I really have no idea, but I'd give yourself the benefit of the doubt on this one.

My experience has been that they really just don't have the manpower (or womanpower as it were) to handle everyone's requests. Additionally, they're doing a really bad job about putting out information that people actually want to see.

To be honest, I don't know why they just don't post messages here (or some other forum) and then point people to it. At least it would appeal to the masses.

I've had a contract for about 2 weeks now and they told me March of 2008. My guess is more like April-June of 2008, but who knows.

I drove through the community yesterday and noticed that DW was getting the foundation frames on some houses done (basically the middle homes that face east west in phase IA). Additionally it looked like Streetman had done the same near the SE park, and that Standard Pacific had done most all of them along Antone.

 Timely release of information hasn't been a Mueller strong point at any level...

No, no it has not! :)

Maybe we could just ask them to start posting stuff here?
